Stewardship incentives for the pastoral zone

The Royal Society of Queensland is collaborating with NRM Regions, the peak body for regional natural resource management groups in Queensland, to host a lunchtime forum and deliberative workshop on the economic and environmental sustainability of Queensland's pastoral zone.

'Come along to hear a proposal for a "stewardship incentives scheme" and a policy framework for the Land Restoration Fund announced during the 2017 State election.

'President of the Royal Society of Queensland Dr Geoff Edwards will lead the presentations, followed by four panellists then a roundtable in brainstorm format amongst knowledgeable and interested participants from the public service, agriculture, NRM, conservation and community sectors.'

The forum will be held from midday on Monday, 28 May 2018, at 111 George St, Brisbane.

All those interested in biodiversity conservation, regional prosperity and the management of pastoral properties are invited to register via the Eventbrite link below. Registration is free of charge but is required for venue management purposes. Further details can be found on the event flyer, also below.
