On Wednesday, 9 October 2019, the TJ Ryan Foundation held an early evening event at QUT's Gardens Point campus to mark our fifth birthday. Themed 'A Century of Reform across Queensland: 1919 - 2019', the event commemorated a number of significant Queensland anniversaries this year. A panel of guest speakers examined landmark legislative and policy reforms in Queensland over the last century.

Ms Beth Mohle
Beth Mohle is Union Secretary for the Queensland Nurses & Midwives’ Union. She delivered her presentation on a century of health and nursing reform in Queensland.
Ms Zoe Rathus
Zoe Rathus AM is a lawyer and senior lecturer at Griffith University specialising in gender and the law. She delivered her presentation on a century of women and law reform in Queensland.
Hon Dr Steven Miles
Steven Miles MP is Queensland's Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services. He delivered his presentation on a century of health and hospitals reform in Queensland.
