National Tertiary Education Union: conference 2015

Each year, prominent local figures are invited to give a public lecture on a topic of their choice. This year the lecture was given by Terry O’Gorman, on the subject of terrorism and universities.

Conference proceedings reflected on the diversity of challenges currently facing teaching in the sector, especially the financial pressures which have undermined the quality of undergraduate teaching which can be offered by a casualised work-force. The two papers below, from the conference, subsequently appeared on The Conversation website.
