Artificial intelligence at work: Opportunities and risks

October 12 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

You are invited to our October event on Artificial intelligence at work.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping the modern workplace — but not in one single or uniform way. This event unpacks different forces at play: generative AI tools like ChatGPT that are changing how we create and communicate, and algorithmic management systems that surveil and monitor worker performance. What do these technologies actually look like on the ground, and what does the latest research tell us about the risks and opportunities each one brings? How can these issues be addressed, and what regulatory and policy settings needed?

Join us for academic, union and legal perspectives on AI at work, including:

  • Professor Penny Williams, Director, Centre for Decent Work and Industry, QUT
  • Lachlan McGregor, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers
  • Sean Kelly, Director, Professionals Australia
