Queensland considers medicinal cannabis laws

The Brisbane Times reports (28.2.16) on the state government moving to legalise the medicinal use of cannabis. This comes as similar legislation is considered in other states and in the federal Parliament.

‘Health Minister Cameron Dick wants Queensland to lead Australia on the road to making medicinal cannabis available to stricken patients.

‘Mr Dick said it was clear the Queensland community had a “great hunger” for medicinal cannabis and the government had been considering legislative ways to address it.

‘”I want to ensure Queensland leads Australia in this space,” he said.
