Can Newman control the agenda in the final week?

At the start of the final week of the 2015 election campaign the media were dominated by comment about Campbell Newman’s attempts to control discussion, and avoid answering any questions apart from those on the economy. On Tuesday 27 January, the day after the Australia Day long weekend, this was described by the ABC in ‘Newman seeks to control agenda in final days of campaign: analysis’ and lampooned by John Birmingham in the Brisbane Times ‘Voters are hurting Mr Strong Choices’ feelings’.

The Conversation carried an analysis of the LNP’s ‘Operation Boring’ strategy – written by Senior Lecturer in Journalism and Communication at the University of Queensland.
