Our Research Associates include a large panel of academic researchers with expertise in diverse areas of public policy, drawn from across several universities in Queensland and beyond. Many researchers also have significant experience inside the public service.

Emeritus Professor Tom Cochrane is an adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Law. He was formerly Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Technology, Information and Learning Support), at QUT until retiring from that position at the end of 2013.

Professor Cochrane is co-leader of the Creative Commons project for which QUT is the institutional partner for Australia. This project, together with other open access initiatives based at QUT, signal a long-standing commitment to access to knowledge and research output worldwide.
