Dr Ian Ward’s Research Interests fall broadly into the area of political communication and Australian politics. His recent work explores the evolution of Australian parties into electoral professional organisations and their increasing reliance upon communication technologies to woo voters and win elections; and, secondly, the use of public relations and marketing by governments to ‘sell’ policies as a defining feature of the ‘PR state’.
