Our Research Associates include a large panel of academic researchers with expertise in diverse areas of public policy, drawn from across several universities in Queensland and beyond. Many researchers also have significant experience inside the public service.

Dr Rae Wear’s principal areas of research are on the nature and impact of populism and rural politics and culture. She also has an ongoing interest in Australian state and federal politics.

She is the author of 'The Lord’s Premier: Johannes Bjelke-Petersen' (University of Queensland Press, 2002) and, with Scott Prasser and John Nethercote, 'Corruption and Reform: The Fitzgerald Vision' (University of Queensland Press, 1990). In addition, she co-edited 'The Premiers of Queensland' (3rd edn, University of Queensland Press, 2003).
