QCCL event: Derek Fielding Memorial Lecture 2019

The Queensland Council for Civil Liberties is hosting the annual Derek Fielding Memorial Lecture, delivered in 2019 by the Hon. Chief Justice Catherine Holmes on Queensland’s new Human Rights Act.

The event will take place at the All Saints Convention Centre in Brisbane on Wednesday 18 September, commencing at 6PM. Canapes and drinks will be provided; further details and registration are available via the link below.

‘The QCCL has been campaigning for a Human Rights Act for 50 years. It will come into force on 1 January 2020. Come and hear the Chief Justice of Queensland speak on its implications for Queensland law.’
