Queensland Council for Civil Liberties 50th anniversary event

The Queensland Council for Civil Liberties (QCCL) is a voluntary organisation concerned with the protection of individual rights and civil liberties. It was founded in 1966 in order to protect and promote the human rights and freedoms of Queensland citizens. The QCCL and its members have featured in many high-profile civil liberties campaigns in Queensland over the past five decades.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the QCCL’s founding, a dinner event is being hosted at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club at The Gabba on Saturday 11 November at 7PM. Guest speakers at the event include former Queensland Chief Magistrate, Diane Fingleton, and former president of the Queensland Court of Appeal, Margaret McMurdo AC. For further details and to book seats for the event, see the links below.
