ABC radio panel discussion on the ‘separation of powers’

A panel of experts, moderated by Paul Barclay, discuss the doctrine of the ‘separation of powers’ on Radio National’s Big Ideas.  The doctrine is meant to ensure too much power is not concentrated in the hands of too few; that those who make the laws are not also those who enforce and rule on the laws. There are claims that under the Newman government in Queensland these principles are being contravened and judicial independence comprised.
