Chief Justice Carmody intends to complete his term

The Brisbane Times (15.5.15) reports that ‘Queensland’s embattled chief justice Tim Carmody says he has every intention of finishing his term and has great respect for his fellow judges. Justice Carmody is taking a month’s sick leave from Monday with a back problem. The move had cast doubt over his role but he says he’s not going anywhere. “I’ve got absolutely every intention of finishing the term as chief justice that I agreed to do,” he told Nine News on Friday.

“I’ve got a job to do and got a great amount of respect for those judges and they do a great job under difficult circumstances.”
