QUT’s Crime and Justice Research Centre and the Asian Criminological Society are co-presenting the multi-disciplinary ‘Crime and Justice in Asia and the Global South’ conference at the Shangri-La Hotel, Cairns, from 10-13 July 2017. The conference features several leading national and international experts in the fields of law, criminology, criminal justice, social science and more.
Also featuring at the conference are distinguished historians and researchers, Henry and Margaret Reynolds, speaking on the history of north Queensland’s reaction and activism around the 1967 referendum regarding Aboriginal rights. A copy of the abstract of the Reynolds’ presentation can be found at the link below.
Thanks to the generosity of the conference organisers, TJ Ryan Foundation Research Associates have been offered free registration to attend the conference. Research Associates will need to make their own arrangements for attendance and must identify themselves as Associates of the Foundation through the registration process.
