Company tax rates: what the evidence shows

Cabinet Secretary Arthur Sinodinos has said that cutting corporate taxation would benefit workers along with the economy.

The Australia Institute Discussion Paper by David Richardson (March 2016) provides evidence that ‘ International and Australian data on tax rates and macroeconomic indicators provides no support to corporate Australia’s ‘instinctive’ claims that lower company tax rates bring wider economic benefits’.
