European bank predicts big power stations in Europe will become redundant

John Vidal reports in The Guardian (27.8.14) that the Zurich-based UBS bank has predicted that Europe’s big power stations could be redundant within 10-20 years as electric cars, cheaper batteries and new solar technolgies transform the way electricity is generated, stored and distributed.
