Amy Remeikis (Brisbane Times, 11.3.15) reports that the LNP will test the government’s ‘mandate’ to scrap the health waiting list guarantee.
‘Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg, who oversaw the policy creation when health minister in the Newman government, said Labor did not have a mandate to make the change and he would force them to test their numbers through a parliamentary motion – meaning independent MP Peter Wellington would have to vote with the government to allow the policy change to go through.’
