Election 2016: Wyatt Roy on a knife-edge in Longman?

Joshua Robertson writes in The Guardian (11.6.16) that Australia’s youngest ever federal minister, Wyatt Roy, has paid tribute to “my mate Malcolm” as the prime minister joined him on the hustings in his vulnerable seat of Longman north of Brisbane’, where he is running neck and neck with his Labor challenger, Susan Lamb.

The ABC reports that a Reachtel poll conducted for 7 News on 2 June recordeded first preference votes of LNP 42.5%, Labor 35.9%, Greens 7.4%, Nick Xenophon Team 3.7% and others 10.5%. Minor party voters were asked about their second preferenced, producing a dead heat two-party preferred vote of 50%. It should be noted that there is no Xenophon candidate in the contest.
