Event: Freedom of the Press – Where to from here?

The Queensland chapter of the Australasian Study of Parliament Group is staging a special event at Parliament House in Brisbane on Monday, 19 August 2019, from 6pm. A discussion panel featuring keynote speaker, Professor Peter Greste, and media experts, Professor Julianne Schultz and Mr Peter Black, will examine current threats to press freedom in Australia.

The event will be held in the Legislative Council (Red) Chamber of the Queensland Parliament, with refreshments served afterwards on the colonnade overlooking the Speaker’s Green. Tickets for entry to this public event are $15 ($10 for students), and free for all ASPG-Q members.
