G20 – integrity and accountability events

A number of events focussing on integrity and accountability will be taking place in September.

On Wednesday 3 September (6pm for 6.30pm start) the TJRyan Foundation is holding a forum ‘Perspectives on Accountability’ at Parliament House.  This event will be chaired by Griffith University Pro Vice Chancellor Paul Mazerolle.

On Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 September Griffith University is holding a Global Integrity Summit at the Queensland Conservatorium (SouthBank).  Geoffrey Robertson QC (UK) will give the opening address on 9 September.  The night before Summit he will also give the Griffith Lecture 2014, at 6.30pm on ‘What Global Integrity?’

On Wednesday 10 September (7pm preceded by refreshments) eminent criminologist Professor Emeritus David Bailey (University of Albany, New York) will be giving a public lecture on ‘Police Accountability: Queensland and the World’.  This will take place at the State Library of Queensland.
