Peter Wellington keen to right the LNP wrongs

Independent Peter Wellington will not work with the LNP in the new state parliament if former Deputy Premier Jeff Seeney or Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie remain in the LNP’s leadership team, reports the Sunshine Coast Daily (2.2.15).

‘Labor looks set to govern in its own right after Saturday’s historic election result but may need the Independent Member for Nicklin’s support to form a minority government if it fails to secure 45 seats. He made it clear yesterday he would not support an asset sale agenda. “I will support a government to function so the wheels can turn and public servants are paid,” he said. “The party in power must have the freedom to govern”.’
