PUP dead in Queensland?

The Brisbane Times reports (16.10.14) that now Independent MLA, Alex Douglas, predicts that the Palmer United Party will not run candidates in Queensland at the next election.

Amy Remeikis writes: ‘Both Mr Judge and Dr Douglas signed a historic Queensland crossbench accord, along with the state’s three Katter’s Australia Party MPs and long time independents Liz Cunningham and Peter Wellington, to stand together against asset sales. Dr Douglas said a coalition of like policy minded independents were the future of politics and Palmer had missed his chance.’
