Research Report 29: Do unions really have free and unfettered ‘Reign’?

Dr Linda Colley writes that 4 June 2015 marked the culmination of the passage of a package of legislative reforms overturning the changes made under the Newman government.  The Public Sector unions and the Queensland Council of Unions had expressed concern that there might be unreasonable delays flowing from the committee stage. This approval happened despite sustained criticism from the Courier Mail, culminating in an article berating the three independent MP’s for supporting the measures.
