Adani trying to sell stake in Abbot Point – to fund expansion

‘Indian conglomerate Adani Enterprises has hired Morgan Stanley to sell part of its stake in the controversial Abbot Point coal port in Queensland, even as the bank has expressed concerns about the environmental impact of the port’s proposed expansion: ‘Any partial sale of Adani’s current holdings at the port would — far from a withdrawal from the port — in fact be used to deliver the port’s expansion.’
