Event: Launch of The Brisbane Dialogues

On Monday, 9 March 2020, an event will be held to launch a new public discourse organisation in Brisbane. The Brisbane Dialogues is a pro bono project aiming to stimulate and civilise public discourse about “big issues”.

The launch event will feature a mini-debate between Professor John Quiggin, TJRF Research Associate and Australian Laureate Fellow in Economics at the University of Queensland, and Professor Stephen Hicks, one of the leading libertarian philosophers in the United States. The topic for debate is “Postmodernism is a right wing philosophy”.

The event will take place at Customs House, 399 Queen St, Brisbane, commencing at 5.45PM. Books by both speakers will be on sale at the event. For further details and to book tickets, visit the event registration page linked below.
