How to lose hearts and minds

The Guardian (9.1.15) coverage of the T-Shirt incident: ‘The operator of a Twitter account parodying the Queensland premier, Campbell Newman, has been charged with public nuisance after he stood next to Liberal National party campaigners in Brisbane wearing an “I’m with stupid” T-shirt. 

This was not a ‘good look’ for the LNP.  Instantly T-Shirt firms were advertising similar T-Shirts, and media coverage even included Time in the US.
