How you should vote on Saturday

Simon Holt, the Managing Editor of The Brisbane Times, writes:

‘Nobody should be bullied, hoodwinked, coerced, guilt-driven or harassed into voting one way or another in Saturday’s election. …

‘Queenslanders will go to the polls frustrated, disillusioned and, in some cases, downright angry. Premier Campbell Newman’s arrogance, questionable integrity, and at times disregard for legal procedure has put him and his party at risk of losing government.’

He concludes: And a footnote to the voters of Ashgrove: Fear not, regardless of your decision, pork-barrelling will continue. And if you are brave enough to vote against the Premier, the rest of the state might just be harbouring a quiet word of thanks.’
