Machinery of Government: Policy, Administration and Governance blog

‘Machinery of Government’, is a new aggregate site for commentary, analysis, audio and video on governance, policy and administration in Australia.  The site plays host to the considered opinions of experts from academia and the practitioner community on a wide range of issues of interest to those working in or with government.

Articles on disaster management, federalism and the economy have already appeared on the site.  With the snap poll called for 31 January in Queensland, demand has also grown for expert opinion and analysis on the Queensland election.  ANZSOG faculty member, Professor Anne Tiernan, along with other academic staff from Queensland’s ANZSOG partner, Griffith University, have contributed pieces on topics as diverse as caretaker arrangements, the state of Queensland’s economy, voter identification, and the question of leadership and transitions.
